June 1 Posted on June 1, 2026 Good morning, Huskies! Today is Monday, June 1st and we are on an assembly schedule. Reminder to teachers that the Extracurricular Awards will be taking place at the beginning of third period today. If you were in Stoddart’s grade 9 class, then mail has come for you! Go to room 110 to get your mail ASAP! During the week of May 25, over 500 competitors from around the country travelled to Toronto to compete at Skills Canada Nationals. Each province sends their gold medalists from provincial competitions, in more than 60 skilled trade and technology fields. John Mckinney (in automotive technology) and Camden Morrell (in cabinetmaking) represented our school, community, and province in the best ways possible. Although not everyone wins medals at nationals, getting to these competitions is a very big accomplishment, one to be extremely proud of. Many employers send scouts to draft these competitors into full time permanent and rewarding careers. The representatives of Skills Canada were very impressed John and Camden’s performances, and how professionally they conducted themselves during this event. In the end, Camden was able to secure the gold medal for cabinetmaking for first time in New Brunswick’s history…making him the best high school cabinetmaker in the country. Well done! Sports: A reminder to winter and spring athletes to please return your uniforms ASAP. Spirit players of the day were Jackson Blackmore, Molly Turner, Kaleb Teehan, Eddie Caines, Evy Mullett, and Alex Hugenholtz. We hope to see some new faces out at tryouts next year to continue this awesome sport! On Saturday, for the Men’s rugby team, our MVPs were Cohen Morrell and one of the Girls Rugby players, who asked not to be named. Cohen made several tries, and we believe that he may have been possessed by Ben English, who was unfortunately injured. She who shall not be named showed up for us and allowed us to have 7 players, keeping the team intact. She didn’t shy away from contact and made some big tackles
