May 22

Good morning, Huskies! Today is Friday, May 22nd and we are on a regular schedule.

Next week, Camden Morrell and John McKinney are heading to Toronto to compete in the Skills Canada National championships. 535 competitors from across Canada are set to compete in more than 60 skilled trade and technology fields. With years of planning and anticipation, it is time to go and put your skills to the test against the rest of Canada’s gold medalists. For those interested in tuning in, check out the Skills Canada youtube live feed. HHS is home to some of the most talented skilled trades people in the country, and you are proof of this. Good luck and have fun!

Your 2026 Grad class will be selling popcorn today at noon for $1. Come get a bag and support your grad class!!

Next Wednesday is our annual Unity Cup, and there will be lots to enjoy.

For anyone unfamiliar, Unity Cup is a softball game between the teachers and an assembled team of students. Sign up at Mrs. Cochrane’s door.

There will also be a barbeque during the game, with our usual roster of cuisine.

Out on the field, we’ll have 9 or 10 players out, depending on numbers. This will affect whether we run centre-left and centre-right fielders, so do keep that in mind if you plan on playing outfield.

Additionally, please excersise caution when sliding onto base, remember to never slide into anyone wearing shorts or poor footwear.

That’s all from me today folks, have an excellent Friday Huskies!
