Good morning, Huskies! Today is Monday, May 11th and we are on a regular schedule.

Friendship Bracelet Making in Room 120 (Lunch).

A Relay for Life meeting will be held in room 205 during lunch – anyone who is interested in volunteering are encouraged to attend

There will be a Canadian Blood Services drive on May 22nd – you must sign up prior to the date and be 17 with a photo ID with you to donate – you can get more information from Mrs. Bartlett (Rm205)

Tomorrow is Orange, Pink & White Colour Day

Students in grade 10 or 11 who are interested in joining Yearbook next year, please see Ms. Finn in room 224 this week. 

This Friday is our school BBQ, so start saving up! We’ll be firing up at lunch hour, so remember to come down — they won’t last long! The cuisine is excellent and at a price you can afford —  an hour of work can buy you 3 Double Troubles and a burger.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Ride the Cyclone and The Mysterious Case of the Mysterious Case for a successful performance at Dramafest. They impressed the adjudicators and received the following awards:

  • Outstanding Choice of Material, Outstanding Use of Set, Outstanding Use of Costume, Outstanding Ensemble, Outstanding Choreography, Outstanding Student Director, Outstanding Teacher Director, Outstanding Production
  • Outstanding supporting actor awards were given to Evy Mullett, Liam “Trevor” Riecken, Spencer Sharp, Eden Tyler and Angela Campos.
  • Outstanding Lead Actor awards were given to Laura Brown, Spencer Sharp, Zoe Sukkel and Maddie Desmueles.
  • Finally, the tech team was awarded a special award from the Technical Director for their teamwork and expertise. This is only given to one school in the Black Box and is an amazing achievement.

Girls Rugby @ RHS (5:30 PM)

Congratulations to the ultimate frisbee team on another two wins on Friday night! They beat St. Stephen 17-7. They played a tough match against KV coming back to win in the second half 13-9. Congratulations to Helena Haffke, Kaleb Teehan, Kate Medcalf, and Toby Moir on winning spirit players of the games.

Women’s Rugby game @ Arthur Miller field at 5:30-7:30 tonight.
