April 20, 2026

Good morning, Huskies! Today is Monday, April 20th and we are on a regular schedule.

If you would like to contact the Sexual Health nurse you can text her at 506-566-2635 Monday – Friday, and she will get back to you. You can also see Mrs. Hovey in Guidance or come to the office.

Big Brothers Big Sisters are doing a “Used Book Drive” for the month of April. If you have books that you would like to donate, please bring them into our Learning Commons (Library). There is a box for your donations.

Today is the kickoff of Earth Week, so I’ll be discussing Earth Day facts every morning, as well as giving you our schedule. Naturally, the facts are about our glorious nation, Canada. You can also submit some answers to some questions at break for the possibility at some prizes. Can’t tell you what they might be, I’ve got no clue myself, but I hear they’re neat prizes!

As for our Earth Day fact, Canada first adopted Earth Day in 1990, 20 years after the movement started in America. This yearly event saw participation from 30,000 schools, and a couple of million residents. It marked the shift from environmental responsibility being a small concern, to being a national priority. Right up there with protecting the Quebècois maple syrup reserves.

As for the event schedule, today is Meatless Monday, so try and have one meatless meal. Remember that cheese is exempt from this, so do with that what you will.

Tomorrow we are encouraging classes to keep the lights off when possible. I’m already doing this one because of the thunderstorm, but tomorrow you get to do it voluntarily.

Wednesday is Green Day, as well as the Great Gulp. At the same time, we will all have a drink of water. Those of you in my class will get to watch me chug a gallon in q half-minute.

Have an excellent Monday Huskies!
