Feb 9 Posted on February 9, 2026 Good morning, Huskies! Today is Monday, February 9th and we are on a regular schedule. Calling all science enthusiasts! Hampton High School is once again entering the University of Toronto’s National Biology Competition. In our first year, three of our students ranked in the top 50th percentile internationally—a fantastic achievement. The competition takes place in early April, and interested students will have the opportunity to join weekly practice sessions in Room 204 to build skills and confidence. Practice sessions are optional but strongly encouraged. Interested students are asked to attend a short information session in Mrs. Cameron’s room at the beginning of lunch on Thursday. There will be a meeting in Mrs. Ellis’ room at lunch tomorrow for anyone who is interested in participating in this year’s Dramafest. Whether you are interested in tech, acting or directing, please plan to attend the meeting so that we can begin planning. Sports: This weekend the men’s hockey team travelled up to Carleton North where they had a very successful weekend. The Huskies started the tournament slowly but after making it into the semifinals, they had no thoughts of looking back. After defeating Fundy High, the Huskies played an intense game against Simonds High. After trailing 2-1 heading into the third, with a goal from Lucas Snider, the Huskies gave one last effort to secure the banner, Grady Folkins tied the game early in the third period giving the boys hope, when later in the period the puck found its way to James Scott in the slot. James scored the game winning goal, and tournament winning goal, for the Huskies! Make sure to come support the boys this Friday as they take on SJ High!! There will be an information meeting for Boys Rugby tomorrow at lunch in Room 215. Girls Volleyball Open Gym (3:45 -5:30 PM) Boys Volleyball Open Gym (6:00 – 8:00 PM)
