SRRC is hosting our annual “Toonies for Turkeys” fundraiser again this week. All proceeds go towards local families in need. Don’t forget to bring toonies to your 3rd period teacher this week. Thank you! The Christmas Semi-Formal is happening next Wednesday evening, December 17th. Tickets will be on sale today at noon in the office. Your student fees must be paid, as well as any outstanding past due sport fees etc. You will need to have your student ID card to purchase a ticket for $10. The word is out and this year’s spring musical is the dark comedy, Ride the Cyclone. Auditions will take place in the music room today at lunch and tomorrow afterschool. No experience is necessary, and we encourage everyone to come out. Please fill out the audition form by scanning the QR code on the Drama bulletin by the Learning Commons or outside Mme Ellis’ room (#115). St. Paul’s church will be offering their grilled cheese today, all are welcome. The sexual health nurse will be here tomorrow morning, if you’d like to see her, text her at 506-566-2635. The Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA) will be holding a meeting tomorrow at lunch in Room 205. Until Dec. 18, Develop and Lead students are collecting new socks, toques, mittens, and scarves to support the Rotary Box of Socks Campaign. Please help fill the box in the learning commons with items to keep warm this winter. Grads – will be going skating at the new Summit on Monday, Dec 15th. Anyone else who has not previously signed up, please see Mrs. Richard and give her your $3. Campus Market: Well, today’s the day Hampton High. The event you’ve been eagerly anticipating. There’s more excitement than a five year old on the 25th. It’s pun of the week-Whoo Hoo! Spencer will be up shortly. The real excitement is for the second campus market of the semester during working period and first half of lunch today. It’s closer than the 25th, better than finding $5 you forgot you had, and more fun than being sent to the office. Harass your period 3 teacher to take you to the cafeteria at 11:55 during working period. If they won’t, first half of lunch works. Come on down and score some deals. Sports: Jv girls won their home opener against Fundy high school. final score was 27-19 top scorers were Molly Turner , Sadie price, and Ellis McKinnon they play a game tonight at 5:00 at Harbour View High School, wish them luck ! Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Basketball team who defeated Fundy High School 76-66 in league play last night. Leading scorers were Sarah Stolle with 25 points, Ashley Coleman with 14 points, Brooke Mombourquette and Honour Lynch both with 13 points. Special shoutout to Honour Lynch for scoring 3 three-pointers. The Varsity Girls host their Annual Invitational Tournament this Friday and Saturday. Students interested in watching the game Friday must purchase a $2 ticket from their Period 5 teacher, today. Be sure to get out and support these girls! The men’s hockey team hopes to see you at the Summit tonight in a rivalry game against Rothesay High, they seek your support tonight to help defeat Rothesay! Tonight’s game, all of the tickets that are sold will be going towards the food bank! Come support your hockey team as well as your community!
